Nivetha Thomas born 2 November 1994 is an Indian actress who appears in Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil language films. She made her film debut as a child artiste in the 2008 Malayalam film Veruthe Oru Bharya. Nivetha has been awarded the Kerala State Film Award and the Gaddar Telangana State Film Award

Nivetha made her Telugu film debut with Gentleman (2016) and won the SIIMA Award for Best Female Debut–Telugu. Nivetha has starred in successful films such as Chappa Kurishu (2011), Romans (2013), Jilla (2014), Papanasam (2015), Ninnu Kori (2017), Jai Lava Kusa (2017), 118 (2019), Brochevarevarura (2019), V (2020), Vakeel Saab (2021) and Sakini Dakini (2022). She has received two Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Telugu nominations for Gentleman and Ninnu Kori.

Early life

Nivetha was born on 2 November 1994 in Madras now Chennai, India.Her roots are in Edoor village in Iritty taluk of Kerala. She did her schooling at Holy Angels and Montfort Matriculation School in Chennai. She graduated in architecture from SRM University. She can speak six languages - Malayalam, Tamil, French, Hindi, Telugu and English.

Livelihood

Nivetha began her career as a child artiste, starring in the popular Sun TV serial My Dear Bootham. After that, she made her film debut in 2008 playing Jayaram's daughter in Veruthe Oru Bharya, where her performance was well received and she won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Child Artist. She then signed a few Tamil and Malayalam films, in which she mostly played supporting roles. Among her Malayalam projects were Chappa Kurish and Thattathin Marayathu, the latter of which went on to be "the biggest box-office hit in the history of Malayalam cinema" according to Sify. She also appeared in the 2011 Tamil film Poraali, directed by Samuthirakani.

Nivetha also starred in Sakini Dakini, the Telugu remake of the Korean film Midnight Runners directed by Sudheer Varma alongside Regina Cassandra
