Adah Sharma born 11 May 1992 is an Indian film actress who predominantly works in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil language films. After completing her schooling, Adah Sharma made her Bollywood debut with a lead role in the 2008 Hindi-language horror film 1920, a box office success. The film was directed by Vikram Bhatt.Her portrayal of a haunted woman in the film was critically praised and earned her a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut nomination. After the release of her romantic comedy film Hasee Toh Phasee (2014), she ventured into the South Indian film industry, playing leading female roles in Telugu films such as S/O Satyamurthy (2015) and Kshanam (2016).

Early life and Education

Adah Sharma was born in Mumbai to S. L. Sharma (died 2014), a captain in the Indian Merchant Navy.She is a Tamil Brahmin. Her father is a Tamilian while her mother is a Malayali.

Sharma was educated at Auxilium Convent High School, Bandra. When she was in class ten, she decided that she wanted to become an actress. She wanted to drop out of school but her parents insisted that she should at least complete her schooling.She quit studying after passing class XII.

Sharma is a gymnast. She has been dancing since the age of three, and completed her graduation in Kathak from the Nataraj Gopi Krishna Kathak Dance Academy in Mumbai.Apart from jazz and ballet, she learnt salsa for four months in the US, and is a good belly dancer.

Sharma can speak Marathi and Hindi as she was born and brought up in Mumbai.complete her schooling
