Sunny Leone born Karenjit Kaur Vohra; 13 May 1981 is an Indo-Canadian film actress, businesswoman, model and former pornographic film actress She holds dual Canadian and American nationality. She was nominated for Penthouse Pet of the Year in 2003 and was a contract star for Vivid Entertainment. She was named among the 12 top adult actresses of 2010 by Maxim. She has also appeared in independent mainstream films and TV shows. After returning to India in 2011–12, she has been in the news for her work in the reality show Bigg Boss and Mahesh Bhatt's film Jism 2.

Early life

Leone was born Karen Malhotra in Sarnia, Ontario to a Sikh Punjabi Khatri family. Her father was born in Tibet and raised in Delhi. And her mother who died in 2008 was from a small village called Nahan in Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh. Sunny Leone also has a younger brother, who is a chef by profession. From childhood, she was very active and played hockey with boys She loved ice skating.

Although she was a Sikh, her parents enrolled her in a Christie school because attending a regular school was considered risky for her.When she was 12, her family moved to Fort Gratiot, Michigan, and a year later to Lake Forest, California. She graduated from high school in 1999 and enrolled in college. Sunny Leone's husband is actor Daniel Weber. She and her husband have adopted 3 children, a girl and two twin boys. Sunny Leone is the mother of 3 children. 

Career

Before entering the adult film industry, she worked at Jiffy Lube, a German bakery. She later worked for a tax and retirement company. While studying to be a nurse in Orange County, a friend who was an erotic dancer introduced Leone to John Stevens, a pimp. He introduced her to Jay Allen, a Penthouse magazine illustrator. When she was asked to choose a name for her adult career, she revealed her real name to be Sunny. Leone was later given the name by Bob Guccione, the former owner of Penthouse. Leone posed for Penthouse and was named Penthouse's Pet of the Month for March 2001.She was then honored as "Hustler Honey" in the 2001 edition of Hustler magazine.
