Soha Ali Khan Pataudi born 4 October 1978 is an Indian actress who has appeared in Hindi, Bengali and English films. She is the younger daughter of Bhopal veteran actress Sharmila Tagore and former India cricket captain Mansoor Ali Khan, and the younger sister of actor Saif Ali Khan. She started her acting career with the romantic comedy film Dil Maange More (2004), and is known for her roles in the drama film Rang De Basanti (2006) and the romance film Ahista Ahista (2006). In 2017, she wrote a book titled The Perils of Being Moderately Famous, which won the Crossword Book Award in 2018.

Early life 

Khan was born on 4 October 1978 in New Delhi, India, into the Pataudi family as the Nawab of Pataudi. She is the youngest daughter of Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, the 9th Nawab of Pataudi, who belonged to the Barech tribe of Pashtuns, and Sharmila Tagore, an actress of Bengali-Assamese descent, who belonged to the Tagore family.Her father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and grandfather Iftikhar Ali Khan Pataudi were both former captains of the Indian cricket team,while her grandmother Sajida Sultan Pataudi was the Begum of Bhopal.

Khan's elder brother Saif Ali Khan is a Bollywood actor and his elder sister Saba Ali Khan is a jewellery designer and mutawalli of the Auqaf-e-Shahi The titular Begum of Bhopal, Saleha Sultan, was his aunt and through her he is a cousin of cricketer Saad Bin Jung. The late Major General of Pakistan, Sher Ali Khan Pataudi, is his great-grandfather and diplomat Shahryar Khan is his uncle through his grandmother, Abida Sultan.She is the aunt of Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan and sister-in-law of Kareena Kapoor Khan. 

Khan attended the British School in New Delhi, studied modern history at Balliol College, Oxford, and earned a master's degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Personal life

Khan was in a relationship with actor Kunal Khemu since 2009. Khan got engaged to Khemu in July 2014 in Paris and married him on 25 January 2015 in Mumbai She gave birth to their daughter, Inaaya Naumi Khemu, on 29 September 2017.
