Ashley Greene Khouri born February 21, 1987 is an American actress. She is best known for playing Alice Cullen in the film adaptations of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight novels.

Early life

Green was born on February 21, 1987, in Jacksonville, Florida, United States. Her father, Joe Green Sr., a former U.S. Marine,owns a concrete construction business, while her mother, Michelle works for an insurance company. She is the younger of two children, with one brother. She was raised between Jacksonville and Middleburg Green attended University Christian School and then transferred to Samuel W. Wolfson High School in the tenth grade. She moved to Los Angeles at the age of 17 to pursue an acting career.

Personal life

Green is friends with her Twilight co-stars, Kellan Lutz and Jackson Rathbone, whom she knew before filming of the series began.  She has said that she grew up watching football and is a fan of the Florida Gators. In 2009, Green's nude self-portraits were leaked to the Internet. Her lawyers threatened to sue various websites that published the photos. 

Appearing nude in a bodypainted bikini, Green posed for SoBe advertisements that ran in the 2010 issue of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition In 2010, she received "The Style Icon Award" at Hollywood Life's Young Hollywood Awards, as well as an award from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals for representing Avon and their policy of not testing on animals.
