Sophie Turner born 21 February 1996 is an English actress. Turner made her professional acting debut as Sansa Stark in the HBO fantasy television series Game of Thrones (2011–present), helping to bring Sophie Turner to international recognition.

Early life

Turner was born on 21 February 1996 in Northampton, England, the daughter of Bhel Gail, a nursery school teacher, and Andrew Gail, who works for a pallet distribution company. When she was 2, Gail moved to Chesterton, Warwickshire. She studied at the independent Warwick School Prep at the age of 11, and later studied at the independent and fee-paying The King's High School for Girls.  She became a member of the Turner Theater Playbox theater company when she was 3 years old.
