Michelle Keegan born 3 June 1987 is an English actress, best known for her roles as Tina McIntyre in the ITV soap opera Coronation Street and Sergeant Georgie Lane in the BBC drama series Our Girl. Keegan has also starred as Kate Thorne in Ten Pound Poms , Tina Moore in the biopic Tina & Bobby , Erin Croft in the Sky Max comedy Brassic and Maya Stern in Fool Me Once 

Early life

Keegan was born in Stockport to Michael Keegan and Jackie Turner. His great-grandmother was a Gibraltarian who married a British soldier stationed in Gibraltar, and he also has distant Italian ancestry from his seven-times great-grandfather who moved to Gibraltar from Genoa. He has Irish ancestry on his father's side.

He attended St Patrick's RC High School in Eccles, near Manchester,and later the Manchester School of Acting.He worked as a check-in agent at Selfridges at the Trafford Centre and at Manchester Airport.

Personal life

Keegan was in a relationship with The Wanted singer Max George since December 2010. The couple became engaged in June 2011, but ended their relationship the following year. In September 2013, after a nine-month courtship, the actress announced her engagement to Mark Wright. They married on 24 May 2015.
