When is Diwali in 2021 in India?
As per the Hindu calendar, Diwali is observed on Amavasya (or new moon) - the 15th day - of the month of Kartik, every year. On this day, Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha are worshipped in the worship known as Deepavali Puja or Lakshmi Ganesh Pujan. In the year 2020, Diwali was celebrated on 14 November.
However, this year Diwali will be celebrated on November 4 all over the country. The Amavasya tithi begins 06:03 on Nov 04, 2021, and ends at 02:44 on Nov 05, 2021.
